2021 Wednesdays at One

Wednesdays at One was a series of casual Zoom discussions born in the early months of the pandemic. When the regularly scheduled monthly meetings and book discussions resumed, the Women’s Club of Rice University continued Wednesdays at One during the winter and summer breaks.

Zoom links are sent to the Women’s Club of Rice University email list each week.

We gathered for the first 10 minutes, then spent 30-45 minutes talking about the topic. It was not necessary to watch, listen to, or read the books and movies ahead of time. The speaker gave a review and invited discussion on the topic of that book or movie. We were also open to guest presenters as well as interactive demonstrations like cooking, origami, flower arranging, etc. Below is an example of our summer session; this was during the summer of 2021.
